David C. Miller MS, FSA, PCC is founder and CEO of Leadership Growth Strategies. He is an internationally-recognized human development expert specializing in sales, leadership and change management. With over 25 years of business experience, working in corporate, consulting and entrepreneurial environments, Dave helps executives (and executive teams) master influential leadership skills through his coaching, training and consulting.
Dave has conducted over 10,000 hours of customized coaching, training and speaking. In the same time, he has personally coached over 1,000 business professionals and corporate executives.
Over the past 15 years Dave has developed and presented nearly 500 customized programs for organizations coast-to-coast and internationally on three different continents. His keynotes, workshops and seminars specialize in areas of marketing, sales, leadership, influence, change management, team building and conflict management. Dave is author of The Influential Actuary, a book focused on helping technical professionals develop the skills and strategies to be set apart and add significant value to their organizations.
Prior to starting Leadership Growth Strategies, Dave worked for sixteen years as a full-time actuary, having obtained his FSA designation in 1992.
He worked seven years as a vice president and consulting actuary with Aon Consulting where he consulted to Fortune 100 companies about how to effectively utilize life insurance to fund employee benefits. During this time he developed and led a multi-million dollar practice to life insurers. In the course of providing consulting services, Dave led several project teams, working with diverse personalities and navigating a multitude of varied client company cultures.
Dave also served as a key leader in ASA, Inc., an actuarial consulting firm that was eventually sold to Aon. Dave helped grow the company from 300 employees to 600 employees in 7 years. He also played a critical role in increasing the value of the company from 7 cents per share to $14 per share (an increase of 200x).
Dave graduated from Lebanon Valley College in 1987 with a BS in Actuarial Science and graduated from Philadelphia Biblical University in 2004 with an MS in Christian Counseling.
